Synchro

What is Synchro?

Synchronised ice skating (synchro skating for short, and previously known as precision skating) is a discipline of figure skating in which 8 – 16 skaters perform on ice as a team, moving as a unit at high speeds while completing difficult footwork, elements and formations. This discipline requires a unique set of skating skills to ensure the success of the team.

How to join

Once a skater has reached Grade 3 (club level) they will be eligible to try out for the Synchro team.  Skaters with the required skills and capabilities will be invited to try out for the team, or can approach the team manager to discuss trying out for the team. Furthermore, trials will also be hosted annually.

Once a skater has been selected to join the Black Panther introductory synchro team it is recommended that they begin private lessons as soon as possible to obtain their skills level 1, to be eligible to compete with the team.
